Back to business- as you know I changed the criteria for the Give-Away last week, and not surprisingly that post received the most traffic of any I've made so far on Spikey Bits.
People like free stuff I guess. :-)
If you missed that last week pop on over and check the post here. Basically I made it "harder" to win, to try to get a better response back from potentials winners. That way the contest doesn't drag on for weeks again. Judging by the comments from last weeks post, it worked!
We'll be battling for prestige, and practice for the upcoming Mechanicon GT in November. This is a Mechanicon GT Primer meaning that we will be running practice Mechanicon GT Missions!
I have to admit I've never had a harder time giving away free stuff (fairly). So I have come up with a new idea, make it harder to win.
I know, I know it's not what you as a potential winner wants to hear, but give me a second to explain. People are lazy, myself included. I tried several times to give something away, and no one could seem to be bothered to check a blog occasionally to see if they were a winner. Well mostly- one winner was out of the country, but you get my drift.
So I figure if I make it harder to win, then the pool of people who will participate will shrink into a nice neat group of motivated blog readers who will actually check the site at least once a month- perhaps more -to see if they are a winner (or read the blog too, which is what the overall purpose is).
To accomplish this I have changed the requirement to win the Monthly Give-Away. In order to be eligible to win (and there is no purchase necessary BTW) you must do the following;
- Comment on a blog post at least once a week on Spikey Bits (you may want to sign up for the RSS feed)
- Follow the blog
- Follow us on Twitter
- Like us on Facebook
- Subscribe to us on YouTube.
Next Wednesday I will try to select a winner, not only for the Bloodcrushers, but also for the Island of Blood Starter as well. That's TWO winners in one day! So what are you waiting for, go sign-up!!!
My buddy Mike made this great renegade Stormtrooper drop trooper out of the normal Forgeworld renegade commander, some M.A.S. Wings, and a M.A.S. Base.
We'll also have some cool "Spikey Bits" brand merchandise as well as awesome new stuff you may have never even heard of!
Check out these "evolved" Bloodcrushers models from Isotope99. The speed at which this guy cranks stuff out is amazing (I may be secretly jealous). Plus his stuff is always very well done. Kudos to Isotope99!
