ReplyDeleteInitially made by warforge.fr , it's a pretty slick mini.

I can just imagine all the guardsmen getting a face full of sword hilt from staring at her chest just a little too long.
ReplyDeleteThere's a little captain in her.
ReplyDeleteI just bought the same model on ebay. Not very many available. had to pay too much for it but couldn't pass up a sexy lady leading my gaurdsmen
ReplyDeleteI'd purge HER!
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Who makes the original model?

squad morale restored
ReplyDeletenice model, but the bolt pistol is ridiculously oversized. i know that's the 40k style, but i think it ruins the mini overall
ReplyDeleteSad to see more oversexualized sculpts of female characters. It makes me wonder whether there are any scifi/fantasy sculpters that are doing work that isn't essentially making barbie dolls.
ReplyDeleteWell, we're talking here about ONE model in an Army. Why couldn't we just enjoy a little bit of Fanservice sometime? Considering that in the 41 Millennium, were war is a daily reality, there is few chance to be pleased by such a view. If you don't like Barbie Dolls Models then chose something else to do.
ReplyDeleteIt is made by warforge.fr. You can get it from Eurobitz: http://eurobitz.com/en/warforge/2111-officier-disciplinaire-viktoria-skivlana.html
ReplyDeleteBut that model in the pic is possibly a re-cast. The only place I found it, it was sold as metal (containing lead?!?!?!). Don't know if it was ever offered in resin.
This model is called Disciplinary Officer Viktoria Skivlana, and can be purchased at the following link (much cheaper than offerings on Ebay):

If I had to guess, that looks like something made from scratch with a 3D printer.
ReplyDeleteYou mean like any woman that isn't real ever?
ReplyDeleteGet used to it, nigga.
Since there are so few depictions of female characters in wargames, and since consistently across ranges and alternate models the depiction of females is always as a sex object (just look at all the female models who's armour has cleavage), I make a point of bringing it up. The fact that "fan service" consists of creating caricatures of the female body points to the cultural problem among wargames. Actual woman warriors wear uniforms that look much like their male counterparts, they don't get a halter version of the uniform. Women in armour don't look particularly different from men in armour, depending on their face and hairstyle. And yes, I get that this is fantasy, but what does it say about the people having the fantasy that their depictions of women are so consistently one sided? If someone doesn't point it out, nobody ever thinks about it.
ReplyDeleteThat is Disciplinary Officer Viktoria Skivlana. Here is a link to Eurobitz- she costs about 22 bucks including tax and shipping:

That is Warforge model Disciplinary Officer Viktoria Skivlana.
ReplyDeleteThat's a Proud space marine's mama!
ReplyDeleteDid you really look at all the models GW made? Except for the Deamons which are born from sins and lust, there is only one squad model that are "over-sexualised". An elite Squad of Sisters of Battle. They are something like sinners who seek redemption. Except for those, there is NO model of Over-sexualised women in the GW product. For instance, this Female Commissar is from Warforge, an independent store. If YOU want to have an army of Pinup, you may, but you won't get any from GW. You'll have to buy independent models from others stores and that is if you've got the money for it.
ReplyDeleteI think you overreacted about this topic and you don't know much about GW product. Let people do as they please, they'll know themselves where the line is drawn without you to tell them.

Bit confusing because this model is clearly resin cast but the model is only available to purchase here in metal http://eurobitz.com/en/warforge/2111-officier-disciplinaire-viktoria-skivlana.html. So where does one get the resin version??
