Not bad Mr Bits, as for the leg positioning I think its fine and the angles aren't really the problem it's the hoof or lack of some sort of talon that just makes it look funny. Easy fix though use a couple extra claw bits or you could hack off some extra Stealer claws and flip / putty them on there. Looks like it would be about the right size and would give the effect of going in for that

Looks good, but I don't like the way the legs are posed- it feels awkward to me. They're clearly still in "standing" position, not "swooping down to land/grab prey" position. I would suggest re-jointing them so they are extended out more, like the way birds of prey do when coming down on something.
